One of my life goals has been to surround myself with people who will inspire me to improve and excel. After a few years in the healthcare industry and a stint running my own small agency, the opportunity to surround myself with a group of passionate professionals has once again come my way.
My relationship with Jibe goes back to my first interview for an internship while attending the University of Utah. I actually turned it down in favor of a marketing internship with MountainStar Healthcare. I went from Intern, to Division Marketing Coordinator to Marketing Specialist at Lone Peak Hospital in the space of two years; two years of great personal growth and learning.
Sensing an opportunity to branch out on my own and provide a service that I saw was lacking, I launched my own creative agency called Basecamp Studio, which was based on connecting small business with freelance creatives. The business grew over a year’s time and provided valuable connections, including a new connection with Jibe.
In May 2015, I accepted the opportunity to help Jibe grow by managing accounts and aiding in the strategic planning process. My experience as a client and as an agency type is invaluable in this new position.
My natural element is in the mountains on a bike, which gets even better when my wife, a graphic designer here at Jibe, joins me on the trail. I will admit to a slight obsession with sports, especially when it comes to our Real Salt Lake. I coach high school lacrosse in the spring and keep myself busy skiing in the winter. All in all, I love my family and friends and appreciate the creative process.
